Ahh, this one is easy. Not having to stress about anything. Having my mom there when I was sick. Being care free and naps. I miss naps as a kid.
2. Did you have a nickname growing up? What was it?
Yes I did. I have had many nicknames. Some have stuck and some haven't. Well my name is Natalie so Nat is kind of an obviously one. I've been called Spot when I had chicken pox by my uncle. My dad called me Squeaks, because as a kid Wine is not a good nickname. My mom calls me Natty (or Natty Noo). Nats, Tweety.. oh the list could go on and on. :)
3. What was your favorite thing to do at recess?
Swing. End of story.
4. What did you want to be when you grew up?
For the longest time I wanted to be a teacher. Then that faded when I went into the 5th grade and from 5th grade until my first year of college I wanted to be a dental hygienist.
5. What was your favorite toy?
Well most girls played with barbies and poly pockets and dolls, which I did as well. Really it was anything that I was having a good time with. I loved playing house and I had a really cool play kitchen.
6. What is the funniest thing you did as a kid that your parents still remind you about?
Sleeping with my eyes open. Ahh, yes. I sleep with my eyes part way open. Call me weird I have no idea how I do it.. it just happens.

I know I know I haven't posted anything in a while. Blah! I know! I've just been so busy with school. I am so sorry. But staying with me I thank you all for that! :) Here are some things that are up on my pinterest. :) Super excited to show them all with you!
1. three cheap mirrors set up like a dressing room! How cool? I would love one of these.
2. Oh Mean Girls.
3. How cool. The caption on Pinterest says it's like time has stopped. :)
4. I am going to try this. I will have it posted in my dorm room once I get back there (weekend, visiting the family)
5.What a cool idea for friends or family! :)
6. Mmmm Patrick Dempsey.
7. hand-knitted bracelets.. I would like to try this one day. Maybe with one of my old shirts.
8. What a cool idea for a summer night or even a fall night. Take a truck stuff it with pillows and blankets and then cuddle in and star gaze.
9. Ahhh he is so delicious looking. :D
What has everyone been up too lately? I hope you all didn't loose faith in me. I am still here.

I haven't heard from some of you in a while so I just wanted to ask. What has everyone been up to lately? Let me tell you what I have been doing. :)
1. School work.. all the time. Seriously it's pretty much all I do. Sometimes (not lie) I cry at night because I feel like I have not life. Then when I talk to people here in the dorm we are all in the same boat. *Phew*
2. Decorating my room to make it more homely. I just got rope lights to add a little mood lighting so I don't always have to have my big overhead light on at night.
3. I am involved in a couple of RSO's on campus (Registered Student Organizations). So I busy with meetings and doing events and things like that.
4. Being myself. :) Yes I am busy with being myself. Trying to find myself. I always give myself plenty of me time in my room. Whether it is in the morning or at the end of the day or in between I'm always giving myself alone time.
5. I helped set up a blog. :) I a learning newbie (well kinda) herself helped someone set up a blog! You should totally check it out! Unknown Writings They want it to be totally anonymous. Meaning you can send stories to that e-mail and within 24 hours they will have your story put up. :) Check it out and show em some love. Please? :)
That is really all I can think of.
Is anyone else experiencing the AMAZING fall weather?

Me, Myself, and I - Spetember

Its me, myself and I time! :)
1) When you're feeling down, what do you do to pick yourself up?
I like to turn my music up really loud and dance around the room. Occasionally you can find me singing into a hairbrush. :) It makes me smile and my mood instantly lifts.
2) If you had to live in a different time period which would you prefer?
To be completely honest i would have loved to grow up in the time my grandpa and grandma did. Granted they were born during the great depression I still would have liked to have been there. I feel as if I would have learned so much about life and how its the simple things that we have to enjoy. Not to worry about money. Just to think you made it through that with the people who love you the most would be amazing!
3) What is the most creative Halloween costume you've ever worn?
So no Halloween for this girl. It's my least favorite holiday. My favorite costume as a child though was a doctors costume. I LOVED IT!
4) Five weird things about you we wouldn't know without being told? 1. I love driving. I just love getting into my car and going for drives. It's great for clearing the mind.. and thinking things over. 2. I miss playing softball more and more everyday. I was a catcher! 3. I actually love doing laundry. I just put on some music and go to work! :) 4. I am a morning person. Weird huh? 5. I love college hockey. GO BULLDOGS!
5) What would you tell your 16-year-old self?
It's weird that you ask this. I am doing a project called Project 15. It consist of me asking the question 'What would you tell your 15-year-old self?'. I have to compile all the answers into a video or slideshow or something of that sort.
So what would I tell my 16-year-old self? You're going to lose friends, you're going to gain friends. You will reach hard times, but you will get through them learning and growing even stronger than you are now. College isn't as bad as you think it will be. Those guys who picked on you in elementary and middle school meet karma in high school. You are going to fall in and out of "love", but let me tell you don't let it ruin your life. Some one will come into your life (even though I am still looking for that person). Listen to your mom and love your dad. Love your siblings, be true to your self. One last thing, don't lie. :)

1. 5 items you can't live without on a daily basis(water, food, shelter, and clothes dont count).
My HTC Thunderbolt for one. My laptop. Music. My friends and the lovely phone calls to/from my mom! :D
2. All time favorite book? Why?
My favorite book? Well I have to say a series but I love love love The Boxcar Children! It's a kids book I know but I love them!!! :D A story about siblings sticking together to make it through life? I love it. :)
3. Something you'd like to accomplish before the end of 2012?
This maybe weird but I want to tell that one special someone how I really feel. :)
4. If you could go back and relive any year of your life which year would it be?
2002. The year I moved up to the UP. I would want to convince my parents not to move up north. I just am EXTREMELY curious and what it would be like if we didn't.
5. What do you wish people knew about you without you having to tell them?
So not sure if this fits, but I don't really care.
A hug every now and then would be nice.

Where were you on this day 11 years ago?
I was in 3rd grade. (I know I'm young)
It feels so long ago. But yet I remember it like yesterday.
My heart goes out to all the families, friends and anyone who knew the victims.

So this weekend has been nothing but homework, homework and homework. Now that I finally got all but one reading done I am taking a break and watching some mindless TV. Then a commercial comes on and there is a young golden retriever on there and it makes me think of this girl...
She was my beat friend this summer and I miss her more and more every day. I have about 2 months until I get to see her.
This is the day I got home and she attacked me when I was sitting in the chair.
The day I left to move into school she was whimpering.. almost like she was crying because she didn't want me to leave. Her and I have a very special bond.
Do any of you have a special bond with any of your pets?

All I need from you is to answer one simple question.
If you could tell your 15 year old self ANYTHING at all what would it be?
You can either leave a comment below or e-mail me!
You can be anonymous if you want whether you e-mail me or comment I will not use your name.
It would really help me out.
Thank you in advance!

Not your ordinary post. Not included as my post.
You don't run with the crowd You go your own way You don't play after dark You light up my day Got your own kind of style That sets you apart Baby, that's why you captured my heart
I know sometimes you feel like you don't fit in And this world doesn't know what you have within When I look at you, I see something rare A rose that can grow anywhere (grow anywhere) And there's no one I know that can compare
What makes you different, (alright) makes you beautiful (alright) What's there inside you, (alright) shines through to me In your eyes I see, all the love I'll ever need You're all I need, oh girl What makes you different, makes you beautiful to me
Hey, yeah yeah yeah You got something so real You touched me so deep (touched me so deep) You see material things Don't matter to me So come as you are You've got nothing to prove You've won me with all that you do And I wanna take this chance to say to you
What makes you different, (alright, yeah yeah) makes you beautiful (alright) What's there inside you, (alright) shines through to me In your eyes I see, all the love I'll ever need You're all I need, oh girl What makes you different, makes you beautiful
You don't know (you don't know) how you touched my life (touched my life) Oh in so many ways (so many ways) I just can't describe You taught me what love is supposed to be It's all the little things that make you beautiful to me (so beautiful) Oh yeah, yeah
What makes you, What makes you different, (what makes) makes you beautiful (to me) What's there inside you, (there shines) shines through to me In your eyes I see, all the love I'll ever need You're all I need, oh girl What makes you different, makes you beautiful to me
Everything you do is beautiful (so beautiful) Love you give shines right through me (shines right through to me) Everything you do is beautiful (ooh, ooh ooh ooh oh)
Oh, you're beautiful to me (to me)

Just throwing up some random pictures
I've been thinking.
So back in January when I started this blog I had only one thing in mind.. to share my life stories with my future self and to anyone who wanted to read it. Now looking where I stand in the blogging world I am blown away. I only have a small blog with MAYBE 5 posts a week. There is so much more to blogging then I thought. I don't really want to get into the BIG blogging world because (not trying to be mean) I want to live my life instead of sharing my life. Does that make since? I don't want to be worried about having to post something that happened to me and my family or whatever. Its great that others do and you know what I love reading about people's happy adventures in life. I honestly do.
I have met (virtually) some awesome people. Just to name a few.. Alli at Life on LeRoy, Bree at The Thing About Joy, Shane at Whispering Sweet Nothings, and Kirstina City Corporate To Suburb Mama. There are obviously more but those are the ones that are standing out right now. It's great, really this blogging community that I joined was and is absolutely amazing. Why do I love it so much you might wonder.. well because each and every single one of you are just like me. We are all just trying to make it. No seriously. We are all going through the same things.. just like outr neighbor. We all have to get up in the morning and go to work, or watch the kids or something that makes up have to get out of bed. Before blogging I always wanted to know what it was like to live in a different state or even country. NOW I get a little bit of taste anytime I want (pretty much).
I am making some changes here. I hope you all understand where I am coming from with this. In the future it may change, but for now this is how I see things.
I am going to be posting less and I am not LEAVING what so ever, but right now in my life I just want to live it. If something BIG happens or something DRASTIC in my life changes then you'll know. Every now and then I'll do a giveaway or I'll do a life update but start watching for a post maybe 2 times a week or less MAX would be 3 times.
I want to focus on my studies and my life. In the words of my professor "Do what you need to do before you do what you have to do".
Again I hope you all understand. I love blogging and all that jazz, but right now.. it's not number one.
I love you all and hope you all had a great holiday weekend.

1. What was your favorite trip/vacation/activity this summer? I would have to say my tip to Mackinaw Island. :) We went in June. We, meaning Mom, Dad, Sister (Jen), John, Shada, Dunja, Slavko, Yaprak and I. It was probably the only thing I did this summer besides work. (Sad Face) Here are some pictures.
Me Jen and John
Me, being a dog
Me, Mom and Jen
Dad, Jen, Mom, Yaprak, Shada, Dunja, Slavko, John and I (left to right)
My family (minus my brother)
2. Favorite outfit look of the summer/clothing item? I don't have a picture of it, but it would have to be my jean shorts and a t-shirt. One of those unisex t-shirts that you would get at large events. I am a jeans a t-shirt kind of girl. Oh and Old Navy flip flops. 3. What is one thing you wish you had gotten to do this summer? I would say have gone to the beach more. I hardly got to do anything this summer because of a few reasons. One: I'm lazy. Two: no one to do anything with. I wish I could have gotten to go to the beach more because I am so white! 4. Favorite Song of the Summer?
Pontoon - Little Big Town
Payphone - Maroon 5
5. Favorite movie/tv show of the summer? This one is really difficult. The Great Escape or M*A*S*H. I love me some M*A*S*H!!!
